Henry Dunant, a Swiss businessman,, moved by the bloody sights of the
battle of Solferino, Italy in 1859 started a neutral organisation to help the wounded soldiers
of the battle.
This eventually gave way to the formation of
INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS.
The Red Cross works with the goals of

- Impartiality
- Independence
- Voluntary service
The Students of various Colleges across the country have come forward to maintain the list of Blood Donors Online for use when Blood is required.
This Online Blood Donor Registry has been started to promote voluntary blood donation among the youth.
This registry will enroll all interested blood donors from various colleges who will be donating blood to various Government Blood Banks on a periodic basis (once in 6 /12 months) and in case of emergencies on request of the medical officer of the concerned blood bank.
