Chronic Glomerulonephritis

This condition is, fortunately, not very common. The slow but progressive damage of a kidney part called the glomeruli resulting in Chronic Glomerulonephritis is usually attributed to impairment in the immune system.

Polycystic kidney disease (PKD), a hereditary condition, can lead to kidney failure. When someone has this disease, cysts grow and damage the kidneys. Then the kidneys enlarge, and eventually they stop working.
