The ECG: An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test that records the electrical activity of the heart. Though this is not a definitive test for heart problems, it is a valuable one.

How do I use this service?
The Consultation Form:
If you are not a registered user, you have to register, by clicking on the link below and filling in a simple form. If you are a registered user click on the link below and login using your User id and Password.
When you log in, your inbox appears. Click on the New Consultation button provided.
The Cardiology symptom form opens. Fill in as many details as you know. Doctors would also like to know the patient’s name and address, as it will be helpful if they tend to use this system for chronic care.
Though the symptom form appears small, if you click on the “ View” Checkbox provided near each heading, the form expands to elicit detailed information with regard to each symptom.
Only a few fields are mandatory and these are easy to fill. But it would be preferable to fill in as many details as possible, as it will help the cardiologists to understand the nature of the problem more accurately.
Submit the filled in form.It gets listed in the inbox and the status is “Unanswered”. Please check back after a few hours of submission of the query.As soon as the specialists answer the query, the status changes to “ Answered” and you can click on the Consultation Number link and view the doctor’s opinion.
Attaching an ECG:
You can submit a consultation with or without an ECG. If you want to attach an ECG, this is the procedure:
You should have a clear printout of a 12 lead ECG.
You must scan this printout on a flatbed scanner. If you do not have a scanner at home, you can scan this printout at an Internet browsing/computer data entry centre. Please ensure that the scanned picture looks clear with the graph in the background showing clearly. Save this scanned picture as a .jpg image.Load this image on your computer/ floppy.
After you log in through this service and fill in the Cardiac Consultation form, please click on upload ECG button, found at the bottom of the form.
Browse and choose the .jpg image of your ECG. Click on the “Upload” button.
Now your ECG has been submitted for interpretation.
When your consultation shows” Answered” status, you can click on your Consultation number and view a doctor’s reply box with an interpretation of your ECG.
